23a Sarah WHISTLER [spinster] m William SMITH, widower, (b abt 1789, d 14 Nov 1872) [publican - George and Dragon, Wereham] 17 Oct 1832

Note: William Smith the younger was apprenticed to a local (Marham) Miller and baker
George Dent and later went on to work at the tower windmill at Watlington near
Kings Lynn. There he married Elizabeth "Ann" Rowe of Bale near Holt, Norfolk -
who was probably "in service" at e,g Watlington Hall. They had several
children, one of which was Susan Mary Smith who followed her elder sister Fanny
to Leicester in the late 19C to find work as a nanny. William Smith the Miller
died aged 39 from "paraplegia 10 months"
