This will of my 15th Great Grandfather was found in the Archdeaconry of Sudbury: Register Baldwyne. Thomas is described as being "The elder" of Hecham (Hitcham)

Agnes my wife to have my tenement in which I live , for the term of her life, if she remain unmarried until her death; if she marry again, she to have no part of it. If she remain a widow unto her death or if she marry again, the tenement to be sold and the money from it disposed as follows:

With half of it a priest to celebrate for my soul and for all the living or dead for whom ~I am bound for a year, and the remainder of that half to be distributed to the church and to the poor of Hecham, according to the discretion of my executors and supervisors.

The other half to be divided between my daughters, if three or more of them live; if all except two die, those two to have 5 marks of the money divided equally between them; if all die except one, she to have 40s of the money; in either case the remainder of the second part to be distributed in pious causes according to the discretion of my executors and supervisors.

Probate granted at Brettenham; the record states administration to Agnes, wife of the deceased, executrix. Power reserved to John Kembold executor, when he comes. - dated 28 Nov 1452
