All mileages are for the round trip - thus the actual distance to Kington is 6 miles.

Most shopping can be done in Kington, (12 miles) Knighton, (14 miles) or Presteigne, (10 miles), although choice is very limited in Presteigne. Hereford is about 52 miles and Cardiff 142 miles if you want the big stores. Worcester or Shrewsbury are other options. There is a shop in New Radnor, 8 miles return where they will get anything for you - they have meat, bread and milk as well as general items.
The list does not include all shops and services; only the ones we use or know about. Those with an asterisk are our favourites, but may not be yours!!
Don't expect a speedy response from local tradesmen - they use "Radnorshire" time!
