In the name of God Amen and in the yere of our Lord god one thousand sixe hundred and nyne I Robert Aldred of Hinsted in the County of Suff, Saylor, doe ordayne and make this my last will and testament with my owne hand wrighting in manner and forme followinge

Ffirst and before all things I commit my soule into the merciful handes of my Lord God and Savyoure Jesus Christe hoping, trusting and steadfastly believinge to be saved by the merritts and good deeds which he have wrought for me and for all others which believest in him.

Next concerning the disposition of my worldly goods. Item: I give unto George Christmas, my sister's childe, when he commits to the age of three and twentie yeres all my landes and houses bothe free and coppie, standing lying or situated in Walberswicke in the county aforesaid and to the heirs of his bodye lawfullie begotten, and to Dorothie his Sister my Sister's childe and to ye heirs of her bodie lawfullie begotten and to the next of my kin (?)

Item: I doe give unto Dorothie Christmas aforesayed all the profitt and monies comming growing and arising of all my landes and houses aforesayed till George Christmas comes to the age aforesayed keeping all thyngs that is belonging bothe to the houses and ffenses in good reparatione not to fell or destroye any tree or sowinge.

All the rest of my goods unbequeathed to be equally divided betwixt George and Dorothie Christmas. Also I make them my executors. And my brother Owen Aldred and Henry Willson supervisors unto this my last will and testament and I give each of them if they do their best for the childrens' profitt and preferment of letting and making the best of all thinges to receive bothe twentie shillinges apeece to be payed out of the goods aforesayed
