Note: Robert joined the firm of Kersey and Tempest, solicitors, after WW1 as a cashier (an unusual entry to the profession) and was made a partner in the 1930s. During WW2 he took most of the workload, Col Tempest being on active service and Mr Kersey in his eighties. Both senior partners then died within three weeks of each other and the name of the firm changed to Kersey, Tempest and Latter.
Note: Henry was a groom and gardener in the 1881 census living at Harkstead, Essex. In 1891 the family were at 4 Cumberland Terrace, Bramford Rd, Ipswich and Harry was a general labourer although at some stage he was a greens porter
