WILL OF JOHN PICK 1703
This will was transcribed by the late Winifred Guidoboni nee Pick . To Deborah Osborne who forwarded it to me, many thanks
And first being heartily sorry for my sins past and most humbly begging pardon and forgiveness for the same I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God trusting to be saved through the mercy of my only Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named
And as concerning the disposition and selling of all such temporal estate as it shall have pleased God in his goodness to bestow upon me, I do give and bequeath the same in manner and form following:
Imprimus my will and pleasure is that my debts and funeral charges be paid and discharged by my executors hereinafter named
Item I give to my son Richard Pick ye sum of one shilling to be payed to him at the full end term of one whole year next after my decease by my executors hereinafter named
Item I give to my son Daniel Pick ye like legacy of one shilling to be payed to him as before is ordered by my executors specified
Item I give to my daughter Mary Harris ye sum of one shilling to be payed to her at the end of one year after my decease by my executors named
Item I give to my three other daughters Anne, Elizabeth and Sarah Pick ye sum of one shilling to be payed to them at the full end of one year after my decease by my executors hereinafter named
And as for all the rest and residue of my temporal and personal estate, goods and chattels, moveable and immovable and every pot and apparel I do hereby give and bequeath to my beloved wife Anne Pick and to my son John Pick junior I constitute executors of this m y last will and testament revoking all other wills and Testaments formally by me made either in word or in writing. In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal declaring this to be my last will and testament the fourteenth of January in the year of our Lord 1703.
