John may have had a brother Isaac, for a marriage is recorded in Raydon between Isaac CRISP and Elizabeth DOUBLE in 1801. In 1841 Martha was on independent means and lived at Burnt House Farm, Shelley. In 1851 she was at Lower Street, Raydon and in 1861 a boarder in Lower St Raydon.
