Note: Farmer of 175 acres in Seething - registered in Seething Poll Book 1841 - Farm buildings destroyed in fire 24 Jul 1857. In 1851 he employed 6 men and two boys. Ann Jane was living with her son William in 1881, aged 92 and a widow annuitant at Seething - one of the servants was Maria SCOTT, a nurse from London, and was presumably there to care for Ann Jane.

In this family it will be noted that William was baptised in Woodton. The churches of Woodton and Bedingham are less than two miles apart, and it may be that Bedingham was unavailable when needed in 1614. The register entry does not mean that the family moved home at this time, although it is not impossible. At all events, the next child, Jane was baptised in Bedingham Church.
