She was the daughter of Charles SMITH (b 1772 Oulton bur 4 Aug 1856 Gunton) and Sarah NOBBS (b 1790 Gunton bur 29 Aug 1856 Gunton) who married on 2 Oct 1815 at Gunton. In 1861 James was on the vessel Rosemary and in 1881 the vessel Kinnie. In 1871 the family was living at 7 Ayres Building, Beach.
