WILL OF ANN ALDRED, widow of LAXFIELD, 1621
From the Archdeaconry of Suffolk
Tenement where testator dwells, being in her own possession or whether in the possession of any other by testator's assignment, held by copy court roll of Laxfield Recory manor to be sold by executrix, for best value in one year to pay debts and legacies.
To eldest son, John ALDRED £5 in 18 months. To daughter Anne who is to be executrix, £10 in like time. To son Wolfram £10 likewise towards his maintenance; all these legacies to be paid in Laxfield Church porch.
Any overplus of money then remaining, once debts, legacies and funeral costs be met, to go to youngest son Thomas ALDRED,who is to be executor, and to Daughter Mary ELLISE to be equally divided between them; said Thomas to pay the moiety to the said Mary in 18 months in Laxfield Church porch.
To daughter Mary, cupboard in the hall, great chest in the chamber & little brass pot. To son Thomas, livery bedstead, feather bed and bolster in the chamber, long table and biggest coffer there. To son Wolfram, flock bed, bolster, 2 pillows of feathers, blanket, bedsteaed where the flock bed lies & pair sheets. Rest of goods, chattels and movables whatever unbequeathed to go to daughter Anne; executors to deliver goods to her in six days.
Son Thomas and daughter Anne to be executors; if Thomas does not jointly prove this will, or be ready to perform all accordingly in a convenient time, or refuse to act, then his gifts be void and then the same go to the said Anne.
